Storage and Metering Bins

M-E-C designs, fabricates and supplies storage bins and metering bins for many wood and other biomass feedstocks.

M-E-C OSB Strand Metering Bins are available in capacities up to 15,000 cubic feet (425 cubic meters) and feature a rugged design able to accurately meter the discharge of wet or dry strands to plant processes. These bins are modular in design and are of fully bolted construction for ease of installation.

M-E-C provides wood chip storage/metering bins specially designed to avoid bridging of product within the bin. Unique live-bottom screw assemblies accurately meter the discharge of wood particles and are supplied with staged flighting based on the customer's particle size and geometry.

M-E-C Drag Flight Conveyors are durable, heavy duty units designed to provide years of reliable service. These units are available in a variety of sizes and can be custom designed to retrofit existing applications or new installations.
